Oral Anticoagulant and Antiplatelet Therapy for Peripheral Arterial Disease: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

چکیده

A retrospective review of PubMed, Embase, Web Science, and Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials was performed from January 1, 1990 to June 2020. Based on three patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD), oral anticoagulant plus antiplatelet therapy significantly improved acute limb ischemia, stroke, major amputation events compared agents alone. However, not effective the prevention myocardial infarction or death any cause. Additionally, a significant increase in bleeding demonstrated. This meta-analysis showed that PAD can improve ischemia stroke risk alone but does decrease might events.

Oral anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy and peripheral arterial disease.

BACKGROUND Atherosclerotic peripheral arterial disease is associated with an increased risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death from cardiovascular causes. Antiplatelet drugs reduce this risk, but the role of oral anticoagulant agents in the prevention of cardiovascular complications in patients with peripheral arterial disease is unclear. METHODS We assigned patients with peripheral ...

A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials on Antiplatelet Agents Versus Placebo/Control for Treating Peripheral Artery Disease

Effect of aspirin (antiplatelet agents) in patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) was still controversial. Varying studies reported varying results. Therefore, we did this meta-analysis to investigate if aspirin could reduce cardiovascular events in patients with PAD.A comprehensive literature search (PubMed, CCTR, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, CBM-disc, and relevant websites) was conduc...

P135: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis on Controlled Treatment Trials of Meta-Cognitive Therapy for Anxiety Disorders

To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis on controlled treatment trials of meta-cognitive therapy (MCT) for anxiety disorders, studies were included if they employed controlled methodology and treated people above 18 years with anxiety disorders. Case studies (with less than 4 cases) and single case designed studies were excluded. A comprehensive literature search identified 15 trials f...

Antiplatelet therapy in peripheral arterial disease.

Antiplatelet therapy significantly reduces the incidence of vascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, and nonfatal stroke in patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and intermittent claudication, in patients undergoing peripheral grafting, in patients undergoing peripheral angioplasty, and in patients with carotid disease. Aspirin, aspirin plus dipyridamole, ticlodipine, and clopi...

Use of new-generation oral anticoagulant agents in patients receiving antiplatelet therapy after an acute coronary syndrome: systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

BACKGROUND Despite receipt of dual antiplatelet therapy, patients after an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remain at significant risk for thrombotic events. The role of orally activated Xa antagonist (anti-Xa) and direct thrombin inhibitors is debated in this setting. Our study objective was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new-generation oral anticoagulant agents compared with placebo in p...
